Joe Kiesel grew up in the excavation industry. His father is a co-owner of K&K Excavating, Inc., and Joe began performing construction staking while also learning to operate heavy equipment. That early experience gave him a practical understanding of how survey information affects construction in the field.
Joe attended Vincennes University for Surveying Technology from 2000 through 2002. He began working for Sitecon, Inc. in 2001 as a summer employee and returned full-time after graduation. He remained with Sitecon in Evansville until earning his survey license in 2008, when he established Kiesel Survey LLC.
A partnership formed through shared work.
Joe met Chad Wagner in 2010 while Chad was working at Sitecon. After completing projects together, they recognized a shared approach to hard work, practical problem-solving, and serving clients well. Chad comes from a long history of farming, and his family farms more than 1,500 acres in Southern Indiana.
When Sitecon was preparing to close in 2013, Joe invited Chad to join the business. In 2014, they formed Kiesel Wagner Survey LLC and have worked together ever since.

Chad brings surveying experience, a deep agricultural background, and a practical understanding of land, access, and field conditions. He became a full partner in 2014 and has helped guide KWS throughout its continued growth.
